These Terracotta money pots are hand thrown in Italy and hand painted in London. They stand between 16cms and 19cms in height. They come as seen with "Baby" written on the pot.But we can add a name on the back of the pot if you require.
History: these money pots have been traditionally used in Italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown designs have remained unchanged. Examples of which can be seen in the British Museum.
Tradition: once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full upon time it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things'. Money Pots are sometimes used to house a candle or a plant once smashed. They bring good fortune. There is a fortune card inside each money pot.

Painted personalisation is now available on the back of these pots. Please be aware that the "Baby" money pot comes with the word "Baby" on the front of the pot, and all personalisations are done on the reverse side in silver paint to match the pot. |
