Shipping and Delivery

We understand that this website will be used to purchase gifts for specific dates, occasions and events. We state the expected delivery period for each product on the website and ask that you tell us the date by which you need the products or services.

Father's Day Delivery Dates

If you are ordering a gift to be delivered for Father's Day (June 15th), the delivery date will be Friday the 13th of June on our standard courier service; unless you select Saturday Delivery we will not be able to deliver on Saturday the 14th of June. We are unable to deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays. We recommend placing your order before 3PM on the 11th of June; orders placed after 3PM on the 12th of June that are not Saturday Delivery will not be delivered until Monday the 16th of June. Please be aware that availability times still apply, and if an item ordered in the week of 9th March is not available "next working day" we will not be able to deliver it before Father's Day.

Order not arrived yet?

If we supplied you with a City Link tracking number on your despatch e-mail, please check the City Link tracking page here. Type in the full number, including the IJB code at the front. This will give you the tracking data for your order.
You can also call City Link on 08700 007 007 for more information - this number will route your call to your nearest depot if you are using a land line to call. If you are calling to check on a delivery, please follow the steps below:

• Press 1 for the consignment tracking and delivery status number
• Quote your City Link tracking number (including the IJB code - for example IJB00001)

You can also arrange redeliveries using this number should your order not arrive on the date expected or you are unavailable to sign for the order.

If your despatch e-mail did not give a tracking number and link to the City Link tracking page, your order is shipping directly from our suppliers. The despatch e-mail will give you the name of the supplier for your order, and an estimated length of time until delivery.

• If you ordered a commemorative sports book, newspaper, newspaper book or a nostalgia gift, your order has been processed by Historic Newspapers. If you would like tracking information on your order, please follow the steps below:
  1. Call 0870 165 1384 and ask for Yvonne.
  2. Quote them your order number as follows: "GG(order number)" - for example, GG0001.
  They should be able to provide you with a tracking number, which is generally via APC Overnight.

In order to receive next working day delivery on "Standard Working Day Courier" orders that have a "Next Day" availability, you will need to place your order by 3PM of that day. Orders placed after 3PM will be shipped on the following day.

Please note that next day delivery refers to delivery time from despatch - if an item is not available "Next Day - Orders by 3PM" then it will not be despatched on the day of order. If you require an item by a certain date, please mention this when you place your order in the Advance Ordering System box on the Checkout page and we will make our best endeavour to supply your gifts by this date.

For items ordered on Friday before 3PM, "Next Day" delivery refers to the next working day, Monday. Saturday delivery can only be arranged if you select Saturday Morning delivery at checkout.

We are unable to arrange courier service to deliver items on Sundays or Bank Holidays. 

Orders placed on Friday after 3PM, Saturday or Sunday for "next day delivery" will be packed and shipped on the following Monday, for arrival on Tuesday.

When there is a public holiday coming up, we will always state our last shipping date for arrival before that holiday - all orders placed after this date and time will be delivered after the holiday. All orders placed during public holidays, such as Bank Holiday weekends, will be shipped on the first possible date after the holidays.

Outside holidays, orders with a "Next Day - before 3PM" availability are packed and shipped Monday through Friday, and unless a Saturday delivery is selected at checkout, your order will be delivered on the next available working day.

We offer the Advance Ordering System because we know that gifts are often time sensitive.

Because of this, we provide the option for you to tell us that you need your order on or before a certain date when you check out through our online system. This is labelled "Advance Ordering System" - type in the date you would like your items to be delivered on. 
 
When ordering perishable items or in cases where you may be away and unable to take delivery please remember that we will be endeavouring to ship your items on or before the date you specify - if you require an item to be shipped after a specific date, please let us know - e-mail us on info@gifts-2-go.co.uk to let us know when you will be available.

What if I'm not at home?

We strongly recommend that you provide a daytime delivery address where someone will be available to sign for your parcel. Our orders require signatures for delivery; this is for your protection and to ensure that your parcels are delivered in a timely fashion. As deliveries can be any time from 9AM to 5:30PM (unless a timed delivery option is chosen) a work address may be more appropriate if nobody is likely to be at home.

Our courier, City Link, will leave a card at the delivery address stating the time and date they attempted delivery. They will also attempt delivery again the following day. This second attempted delivery will also have a card left with contact details.

If you are not available to take either of the attempted deliveries, the following choices are available to you:

• For no additional cost, you can arrange to collect the item from your local City Link depot.
• We can arrange a third delivery attempt for a date of your choosing for a total cost of £6.00 - please contact us if this is what you would like to do.
• Items will be returned to Gifts 2 Go if alternative arrangements are not made for delivery or collection - in which case the original shipping fee would need to be reapplied before we could send your order out again.

If there are likely to be problems....

If there is likely to be a problem with your delivery then we will attempt to contact you. Please ensure that the contact details you give are accurate - we will attempt to e-mail you or telephone you. 

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

If you would like to have an order delivered to an address outside the UK, we can do this on a case by case basis.
